FocusPoint is committed to ensuring all personnel, whether proprietary or sub-contracted adhere to the highest ethical standards as reflected in our code of conduct. Our business integrity is beyond reproach. We are dedicated to being a good corporate citizen and committed to the local communities in which we operate. We ensure accountability, transparency in operations and compliance with all of our legal, moral and regulatory obligations.
FocusPoint is a signatory company of the International Code of Conduct for private security providers (ICoC). The ICoC is a Swiss government convened, multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to both clarify international standards for the private security industry operating in complex environments, as well as improve oversight and accountability of the companies committed to the ICoC.
We support the Montreux Document – an international agreement on the legal obligations and best practice for states relating to the operations of private security companies operating during armed conflicts. The Montreux Document was created in association with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Swiss Initiative in September of 2008.
In 2012 FocusPoint was accepted into the UN Global Compact – a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
All of our personnel adhere to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights as established in 2000 by the United States, United Kingdom and extractive companies to ensure the safety of personnel and assets in insecure environments while respecting human rights.
